Government of Ehlíath

(Note: Because Ehlíath is still part of Dimirha, the Sovereign is still nominally at the head of their government; however, the royal family holds famously little sway in the Clag)

*The Court of Guilds and Merchants is highly swayed by Crime Lords in the 1190s; Moran Trading Co, the Rail Company, and Draylock's Property Management Firms are all represented. Other guilds and merchants with representatives have agreements with one or another of the Crime Lords.

**The Court of the Common Wards is comprised of Aldermen (representatives) of each of the city's 28 districts; many are in the pocket of a Crime Lord.

***The Lord Magistrate is appointed by the Chancellor of Ehlíath; the Chancellor, in turn, used to be appointed by the Lord Seneschal, but is now elected by the Patrician's Council, comprised of heads of the noble houses of the city. The Crime Lord of Hightown has often appeared on the Council.

****The Church of Nheo holds advisory sway, but no technical/direct power, in the city's government; their presence in the royal court is similar.
